Bike Friendly Community
Cycling is a healthy, low-impact exercise that people of all ages can enjoy. Hot Springs Village is a bike friendly community with several trails suitable for biking.
Coronado Center & Library
The Coronado Community Center hosts a multitude of large events, dances and social functions including craft fairs, bingo, plays, Oktoberfest, and other holiday celebrations. The community center also houses the Coronado Library which has a wide selection of fictions and mysteries, including an impressive selection of new releases, as well as newspapers, periodicals, magazines, audiobooks and DVDs and a smaller collection of literature and non-fiction books. Wi-Fi and computer terminals are also available. In addition, the library stocks a sizeable paperback lending selection and puzzles – just take them home, enjoy them and bring them back!
DeSoto Family Recreation Area
The DeSoto Family Recreation Area is fun for all ages featuring playground equipment, mini golf, basketball and pickleball courts. The playground, mini golf, and basketball courts are available for use at no charge, but players must bring their own equipment. A covered picnic pavilion and charcoal grill are just behind the nearby DeSoto Multipurpose Hall and are available on a first come basis.
Dog Park
The DeSoto Dog Park is a gated, off-leash park for well-behaved and healthy dogs. The site is approximately 1.5 acres of level open area and divided into two sections for use by large and small dogs. The park contains benches, watering stations, waste receptacles and shade pavilions.
Fitness Center
Situated on the shores of Lake Coronado, the Fitness Center is a full workout facility with a large fitness room, three-lane walking track, exercise classroom, a 25-meter heated indoor pool, whirlpool, steam room, sauna, and massage therapy.

The Coronado Fitness Center offers a variety of land and water classes such as yoga, Zumba, spin, cycling, Pilates, water aerobics and more. Classes are available for all skill levels and are taught by national certified instructors. Regular coed, drop-in classes are included in the daily fee. Some specialty classes may require registration and an additional fee.
Fitness Center Swimming Pool
The Coronado Fitness Center 25-meter indoor heated pool has five swimming lanes and a deep-water area. There is an aquatic lift, in addition to steps, for safe and easy access to the water. The pool accommodates non-swimmers and swimmers who want to participate in aquatic exercise programs and activities. There are structured classes, lap swim and open pool time featuring water walking, play and fun swim. A wading pool is available for small children. Appropriate swimwear is required.
Grove Park
Grove Park is a community gathering place in Hot Springs Village. Carved out of the forest, the park features spaces for vendors, picnic tables and an entertainment area in a rustic setting. Grove Park is home to the weekly farmers’ market, biannual artisan market, Rock Porch Sessions, Rhythm Jams and various community events like the well-loved Fall Festival.
The Green Market is a popular outdoor farmers’ market in Hot Springs Village. Every Thursday from 8 AM to Noon, April – November, several vendors offer quite an array of goods. In addition to freshly harvested fruits and vegetables, you’ll find handmade goods, including soap, jams and jellies, pastries, lotions and creams, and more. Live music is often playing as you stroll through the market, located in Grove Park, an outdoor venue in Hot Springs Village, at 1105 DeSoto Blvd. In the event of rain, the market is held across the street under the Porte Cochere at the Woodlands Auditorium.
Outdoor Pool
The Hot Springs Village outdoor pool is a family favorite on hot summer days to splash, play, and sunbathe. The 2,900 sf zero-entry pool was built in 2019-2020 and has spray jets, in-water bench seating, and deck diving in the deep end. The pool deck features a mix of shade and sun options, and the building has restrooms and snack bar. Annual pool memberships are available for property owners, and daily passes are offered for members and their guests.
Pocket Parks & Picnic Areas
A Coronado Pocket Park located next to the Coronado Tennis Center offers a play set with tunnel, a bass drum, a 4-ft beanstalk climber, a rain wheel, a curved slide, bongo drums, 8-ft double swing, a vine climber, and shaded park bench. The play set accommodates ages 5-12; children must be supervised by an adult.
The pocket park is a new family fun addition to Hot Springs Village. Other playgrounds are available at the DeSoto Recreation Area and at the Pocket Park inside Grove Park.
Picnic areas can be found at Balboa Beach, DeSoto Beach, DeSoto Recreation Area, Coronado Boat Ramp, Balboa Pavilion, and Grove Park. Playgrounds can be found at DeSoto Recreation Area, Coronado Tennis Center and Grove Park.
RV Park
The RV Park is in a rural setting with lots of trees. It has ten parking pads available to self-contained recreational vehicles. The park is open year-round with electrical hookups. Water hookups are available from April 15 through October 31. Grills and picnic tables are provided at each site. A central dump station is provided for users. A daily rental fee and reservations are required.
Woodlands Auditorium
The Woodlands Auditorium in Hot Springs Village is the performing arts center. The 654-seat theater features state-of-the-art sound and lighting and is host to approximately 75 cultural and entertainment events including Broadway-style musicals, drama, dance, vocal, and choral productions. The lobby of the Woodlands is also used as an art gallery featuring the works of local artists.
Veteran’s Memorial
The Veteran’s Memorial features a “Walk of Honor” which contains over 3600 bricks with veterans’ names and service on them. All branches of the services are represented: Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard.
